We are excited to announce:

Since Ebikes are gaining in popularity we want to include them for Drops to Hops this year. Its a new division and one we havent seen in other area races/rides. We have our "A" race, "B" race and now as of today our "E" race. The E bikes will be allowed to ride in our 23 mile race and have its own division. We are very excited to be one if not the first race in our area to offer this option.

Pedal-assist onl

E-bikes with pedal-assist only are usually called pedelecs but can be broadly classified into pedelecs proper and the more powerful S-Pedelecs.

Pedelec

The term "pedelec" (from pedal electric cycle) refers to a pedal-assist e-bike with a relatively low-powered electric motor and a decent but not excessive top speed.

The “A” race is about 43 miles that is geared towards the “racer” with rolling hills, flats and a nice climb to separate the field. The race will start  at 10:00am

The “B” race/ride is 25 miles with rolling hills and flats that most abilities can complete and have. The race will 10:15

https://us.mapometer.com/cycling/route_5384881.html

The "E" race will use the same route as our "B" race/ride and more details will be confirmed.

The Early October race/ride is perfect for fall foliage viewing as you ride.

Overall male/female in each race, also age group awards will be given. Did I mention that the awards are beer if over 21 ;-)

BOTH DIVISIONS:   As in the past at the last sweeping right hand corner there will be cones set up for cars to stay left and bikes to stay right. You will have a lane for two bikes side by side until you get to the corner then you will have the entire right hand lane for the straight away. You must finish in the right hand land as the other will be for vehicle traffic. Please do not cool down back towards the direction of the finish line its to congested with finishers and vehicles. Viewing racers coming in is great but please stay on the grass/field area and off your bike.
